DD Martin

Sizzling!

DD Martin was born to sing in St. Louis, Missouri, where her mother, Stella Mae, was a popular Gospel/Blues singer who traveled throughout the South and Europe! Stella Mae instilled in her daughter, a love of music and a dream of someday performing! DD realized that dream early when at age 13,she took the stage starring in a musical at the McCoran Playhouse in Los Angeles, Ca with her teenage singing group ”The Time Climax”! From that time on she was hooked, and destined to please an audience!

DD honed her skills by taking voice, acting, and dance lessons. She performed in nightclubs with her band ”Second Helping”, and moved into doing television work by scoring the voiceover theme for the TV pilot show ”Candid Camera”, recording vocals in an episode of the show ”Fame”, and performing as a featured artist on the televised ”Valentino Awards”!

Next up ..the stage, as DD landed the second lead in the international tour of the Broadway show”Jerry’s Girls”, where she received rave reviews!
